The resort of Ag. Georgios is located by the sea, 28 klms north west of Corfu Town.The Bay of Agios Georgios has a long sweeping beach

with clear blue sea and fine sand, one of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu with umbrellas, sun-beds and all water sports available. It is particularly suitable for the fans of wind surfing as well as the lovers of quiet, relaxing holidays. The Bay of Agios Georgios has been given the EEC blue flag award for clean beaches. 
Along the 3 km. beach there are many picturesque tavernas some specialising in fresh fish. There are also a variety of bars in which to sit and while away the hours, the perfect place to watch the setting sun.

From  Ag.  Georgios a lot of paths lead to many beautiful places:
- To Afionas peninsular, the northern end of Agios Georgios bay, offers a magnificent view of the whole bay and to the open Ionian sea,
- To the beautiful area of Porto Timoni, a half-hour walk, where you can find the ruins of a fortress, built in 300 BC,
- To the traditional villages of Pagi, Vistonas and Krini, with well-maintained beautiful old houses
- To the ruins of fortress Angelokastro, built by Byzantines
