Perama is one of the oldest resorts on the island.

It is also known from Gerald Durrell’s books. It was Perama the village they chose to rent a villa.
Many hotels and apartments were built during the tourist boom in 70^th. When new destination with bigger and nicer beaches were discovered, the interest about Perama declined and the apartments were rented to the students.
Perama lies opposite peninsula of Kanoni and it can be reached on foot. Beaches are small and sandy. During summer many planes are landing very close to Perama.
